Port Williams Cannery
This old retired cannery was constructed around the turn of the century. We have operated sportfishing and hunting trips from the cannery since the late 80's. You will find the accomodations rustic with 24 hour electric, flushing toilets and private rooms in the old managers residence. It's quite an adventure to explore and experience the old cannery surroundings.

Port William Wilderness Lodge is not a luxury Alaskan Resort. Your experience here will be a step back in time. This is remote and rustic. The food is excellent (Bruce the cook is a lifelong Alaskan iron worker with many stories) The fishing is beyond compare with trophy halibut frequently caught right out front and Silver Salmon in the stream across the bay from the cannery. Briska Sportfishing
The sportfishing vessel Briska based from Homer, is a ChrisCraft 36 foot Tournament Sportfisher with twin Cat Diesels, two sleeping cabins, a full head and an enclosed pilothouse. She is equipped with the latest fishing gear and electronics. With a 20 knot cruise the Briska will get us out to the exotic fishing grounds. We will be fishing for Halibut, Salmon, Ling Cod, Rock Fish and the occasional Shark. Common sights will be the resident humpback whales and the sea lions out on sea otter rocks. This is a remote area and it is unusual to see another fishing vessel as there is not another fishing lodge on Shuyak Island.
